Kimchi Jjigae Without Meat Recipe

Soups are always my favourite type of food. As a vegetarian most of the dishes taste tasteless because there is only vegetables. My craving for vegetarian spicy soup made me to google search for the easy soup recipe. Fortunately, found an easy recipe but then I had to step out from my house to buy an ingredient which is kimchi and gochujang. 

I went to the nearest Korean grocery shop and bought a container of kimchi and gochujang. After buying these two ingredients I was all set to start cooking. The soup turned out pretty well. Since then, this Kimchi Jjigae without meat is my favourite. 

Here is the simple recipe which I always follow


1.Kimchi ( Squeezed it well and get the juice then mince it)

2. Onion

3. Toufu


5. Chili flakes

6. Garlic 

Steps to cook

1. Add sesame oil or any vegetable oil in a pan and heat it up.

2. Add kimchi, minced onion and garlic. Wait until the garlic and onion are cooked. 

3. Then add 1/2 water, kimchi juice, chili flakes, gochujang and tofu

4. Stir well until everything is mixed well.

5. Lastly add salt.

That's it simple kimchi jjigae is ready to be served.
