Ways to Make Tteokbokki

Eventhough there are numerous amount of new recipes everyday, still you can find plenty similarities in them. For an example, any of Korean food recipes you can always find gochujang or gochugaru as one of the main ingredient. You can't complain them. To get the authentic taste you have to use the traditional ingredients. When it comes to Tteokbokki, mostly all the recipes are the same because it is one of the most easiest recipe with minimal ingredients. However, additional ingredients in few recipes really make a huge differences in tteokbokki's taste. 

Now, let's see how to do tteokbokki.

First of all prepare the ingredients

1.Rice cakes (tteok) - You can buy it in supermarkets. It is available in many places or checkout the link learn how to cook tteok

2. 3/4 cup of water

3. Gochujang

4.Sugar

5.Soy Sauce

6.Fish cake (optional)

7. Sesame seeds (optional)

Steps:

1. Add water, sugar and Gochujang inside pan. You can add sugar according to your preference. If you have high spice tolerance you can add less teaspoon of sugar. Meanwhile for Gochujang, a table spoon will be enough. Once you have add the three ingredients in the pan heat it up.

2. Stir it until it boils.

3. Add rice cakes (tteok), fish cakes and soy sauce.

4. Mix it well. Let the rice cakes (tteok) absorb the flavour of gochujang.

5. Add sesame seeds.

Thats it! Tteokbokki is ready! You can add egg and vegetables.
